Fidel Flores English 9B Honors Ms. Tao-3rd Period 18 April 2012 Walt Disney Research Paper Walter Elias Disney was an amazing film producer, director, screenwriter, voice actor, animator, entrepreneur and philanthropist. Mr. Disney left this world, impacting and inspiring the lives of everyone and changing the world of movie-making forever. Walt Disney was the creator of popular animated characters such as Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Alice in Wonderland, and Snow White. He is the namesake for the Walt Disney Company, Walt Disney Resort, and many more. Walt Disney had lived an enthralling life, and improved the field of entertainment tremendously. The release of Steamboat Willie caused thousands of people to line up at the Universal Colong Theatre in New York. The premiere date for the film was on November 18, 1928. Disney made about $500 a week from the release. ââ¬Å"The success of Steamboat Willie not only led to international fame for Walt Disney but for Mickey as well.â⬠(ââ¬Å"Walt Disneyâ⬠) As a matter of fact, Walt Disney had a tremendous influence on mass media! He influenced the media to expand their business deals and resources. The release of his very successful movie Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs led the film to become the most successful motion picture! ââ¬Å"The film became the most successful motion picture in 1938 and earned over $8 million on its initial release.â⬠(ââ¬Å"Walt Disneyâ⬠) Likewise, the release of the film encouraged the media to use different special effects and record better frames.
